Abstract

Maintaining children's health is a priority in all highly developed countries. Numerous studies conducted by researchers and practicing physicians currently confirm a deteriorating trend in the health of children in Russia. A deterioration in the psychophysiological state of children has also been noted. Recently, the issue of continuity between preschool and primary school education has become more acute than it was several years ago. This is due to the significant difference in children's initial knowledge levels at the initial stage of education. In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation "Strategy for the Development of Education through 2010," a preschool level is being introduced into the structure of general education, with instruction beginning at age five. Preschool education should not only provide the basic foundation for development but also create the most favorable conditions for the health and harmonious physical development of children. Accelerating the development of "school readiness" in preschoolers negatively impacts their mental and physical health and development. The impact of preschool education factors in comprehensive schools on the health of preschoolers in the current context has been insufficiently studied. The aim of this study is to evaluate the organization and conditions of preschool preparation for children from a hygienic perspective, to determine the impact of preschool education and upbringing on children's health, and to develop hygienic recommendations for protecting the health of this category of students. This is the first hygienic assessment of the educational and upbringing conditions of preschools in various educational institutions.
