Abstract

Vibration syndrome (VS) is a central problem in industrial medicine. This is due to its prevalence in leading sectors of the national economy, its prevalence among skilled workers, its sluggish progression, low treatment effectiveness, and significant socioeconomic losses due to the loss of professional ability to work. The study of the clinical presentation of VS is a key issue in occupational medicine. However, the condition of internal organs during VS remains understudied and requires further clarification. Given the role of the cardiovascular system in adaptation to various extreme factors, studying the functional state of the heart in VS is of particular importance. The increase in cardiovascular pathology observed among industrial workers in recent decades has made the role of occupational factors in the development of somatic diseases a crucial task. The aim of this study was to investigate the functional characteristics of various components of the cardiovascular system in patients with VS caused by localized vibration and to develop early clinical and functional criteria for assessing the state of the cardiovascular system in workers exposed to vibration. In this work, for the first time, the features of the functional state of the circulatory system in workers in vibration-hazardous professions were determined using a set of loading methods, echocardiography, daily monitoring of ECG and blood pressure with an assessment of heart rate variability.
