With the reform of socioeconomic relations in Russia, the quality of healthcare for workers has noticeably deteriorated. The current healthcare system does not provide priority medical care for workers. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a set of measures to protect the health and organize medical care for workers, based on reliable information about their health. Occupational diseases are currently acquiring particular social significance. Reliable information about them is crucial for assessing and managing occupational risks, and is of interest to many government agencies. This information is essential for specialists at State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Centers to address issues related to improving working conditions and preventing occupational diseases. In connection with the implementation of Federal Law No. 125-FZ, occupational disease statistics are in demand by employees of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation to rationally use funds for compensation and rehabilitation of patients and disabled persons due to occupational diseases, as well as for their prevention. The aim of this study is to improve occupational disease statistics using modern computer technologies to enhance the effectiveness of occupational disease prevention management. Based on an assessment of the current system for recording and analyzing occupational diseases in the Russian Federation, priority areas for improving occupational disease statistics using computer technologies are scientifically substantiated.
